With high-speed, large-volume transmission and Daisy Chain functionality, the GVIF enables higher flexibility connection for sensor/image processing LSIs and displays, and contributes to building optimal automotive device systems.

Overview

The GVIF (Gigabit Video Interface) product family draws on its long history and track record of high quality to pursue functionality that is unique even today, continuing the challenge to build higher flexibility automotive device systems.

The serializer converts various input formats of video data into serial data to be transmitted at high speed. The deserializer recovers and outputs the data. The input/output interface is compatible with commonly used sensors, image-processing LSIs, and displays. It can use STP cables for differential pairing, coaxial cables, and various other cables. With Daisy Chain functionality and multiplex transmission, it enables higher flexibility device connections.

Features

Daisy Chain function

The Daisy Chain connection allows it to connect with more devices to transmit video and audio data. It does not simply repeat data; it can also multiplex multiple videos and delete video data.

Further, with multiple devices connected via Daisy Chain, it can contribute to I2C, GPIO, or other virtual buses.

Input/Output interface conversion

In addition to the conventional CMOS interface, we also have a lineup of products compatible with DVI-D, oLDI, and MIPI interfaces. With many serializers and deserializers, they can input/output from various interfaces to achieve a simple, abbreviated structure for LSIs for conversion.
