Sony Semiconductor Solutions Corporation (Sony) has obtained a TISAX (Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange) label covering the design, development, and sales organizations involved in its automotive image sensor business following the successful completion of a TISAX assessment of its information security management framework.

As advanced driver-assistance systems, autonomous driving technologies, and connected vehicles continue to evolve, there is a growing demand across the automotive supply chain to assess information security levels and strengthen security measures. Appropriate frameworks are needed to protect critical information assets, including design and technical information, and to ensure secure and continuous business operations.

TISAX is an information security assessment and result-sharing mechanism operated by the ENX Association based on information security assessment requirements established by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). It assesses information security across the automotive supply chain against a common standard and enables participating companies to share assessment results. It is widely recognized and adopted across the European automotive industry.

The assessment evaluated the covered organization’s information asset management, physical security, IT security, and supporting management systems against the information protection requirements of the automotive industry.

By obtaining a TISAX label, Sony aims to enhance the reliability and transparency of its information security practices, enabling customers and business partners to engage with greater confidence.

Sony will continue to strengthen its information security management framework and contribute to a safer and more secure mobility society through the development of automotive image sensors that enable advanced sensing and viewing capabilities.
