Display for Motorcycles

Overview

The OLED Microdisplays from Sony Semiconductor Solutions Corporation(SSS) are contributing to motorcycle culture, which is becoming more and more popular in recent years. Utilization is advancing in applications which require a light weight and compact mechanical design, such as navigation displays for bicycles and motorcycles, and displays for helmet attachment that link with a cyclocomputer.

Navigation displays for two-wheeled vehicles

The SSS's OLED Microdisplays are used in the displays showing GPS navigation that are mounted on helmets for motorcycles. The navigation is displayed transparently in the field of view of the rider, so it is possible to check the information while continuing to look forward.

Implemention has also begun on smart glasses for cycling, which display various information transparently in coordination with the cyclocomputers on bicycles and smartphones.
