Sony Semiconductor Solutions Corporation (SSS) just launched the website for the “Sensing Solution University Collaboration Program（SSUP）”, which started in 2019. On this site, we present projects and case examples from the SSUP program and use it as an opportunity to expand real collaboration opportunities for a network of partners from university labs to teaching facilities. SSS will also present SSUP’s engagements at the exhibition “IROS 2022,” an international conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems to be held in Kyoto on this month, while exhibiting as the Sony Group.

Our goal with the SSUP is to create innovative sensing solutions through open collaboration with a range of partners in higher education. In doing so, we aim to create a world of surprise and excitement.

The program offers real collaboration opportunities for a network of partners from university labs to teaching facilities. It encourages and supports research collaboration in the area of sensing solutions, and promotes innovation and education.

Sensing the world with devices such as low-power consumption microcontroller computers and cameras, to create solutions for real-world problems as well as in the entertainment world.
We aim to create a better future and bring surprise and excitement.

The SSUP conducts research collaboration programs. The program includes providing research funds, and offers research support through free lending of research equipment for research themes that use SSS's sensing solutions. The SSUP also conducts related activities to encourage co-creation and to support education.
